This research discusses the work of J.R.R. Tolkien entitled The Fellowship of The Ring. This research focuses on analyzing how Tolkien presents the femininity and masculinity of female and male characters and investigating the external and internal conflicts that Tolkien portrays in this novel. Besides, this research focuses on the characters' feminine and masculine characteristics and the cause and effect of external and internal conflict in the story.
